Out of Character;;
- The Golden rule, treat others the way you want to be treated.
- No fighting
- You may curse, but not at another member.
- Please nothing offensive, and by that I don't mean mature. I don't want any racist/sexist what ever, I don't want to see any of it. If I see it you'll get banned. I'm a pretty easy going person, but it's one thing I have no tolerance for.
-If your character doesn't get along with someone else's keep it in character.
-respect the staff
Auditioning;;
- Read the rules before you audition, as well as reviewing the pinned threads.
- Please, this is a literate roleplay. That means, I expect capitals at the beginning of sentences and punctuation where it's supposed to be. Your not going to get hounded for mistakes, but do your best.
- Don't complain if you don't get accepted. I'll try and tell you why you were rejected and what you need to work on so that you can reapply.
-Take your time, the audition board isn't going anywhere, spell check.
-Don't bother me about when I'm going to look at your application, I'll get to it as soon as possible.
-Use the form, you can add to it or format it how ever you want, but please make sure everything is included.
-Please make sure to abide by the word counts
Characters;;
-No one's perfect. So your character shouldn't be anything. They need weaknesses, there is even a nifty little section for them. Weaknesses are flaws with their character, not what makes them go weak at the knees.
-Stay realistic. If you need to do a little research. Average heights and weights are good. I don't care how skinny they are no guy of even bellow average height is going to weight 100 pounds or less.
-No ridiculous scars or birthmarks. I don't mean they can't have any, but I don't want to see a single audition with a scar they got that looks like a lighting bolt.
-Remember this is a highschool. Every highschooler doesn't go around doing drugs and having sex. Likewise highschoolers aren't perfect little angels too.
Posting in Character;;
-I believe in mirror posting. This means to try to have your post be at least as long as the person before you. This does not mean you need to rip out your hair over it. If someone writes a really long post your don't have to write a novel, just don't respond with a sentence.
-Actually, regardless of what the person before you did do not respond with a sentence. One liners are explicitly forbidden. I'd also like to bring it to peoples attention that just because a post takes up more then one line does not mean it's not a oneliner. I've seen oneliners that have taken up 6-7 lines. Say my character went over to someone and started talking. Now, what she said could be three paragraphs worth of dialogue but that doesn't mean its not a oneliner.
-We understand writers block, we all get it. But if you really can't write anything. Take a break, come back in a day or two.
-There's no word count, but Your posts should be a few paragraphs. Try to aim for around 300 words. However we do believe in quality over quantity. We'd rather read a good solid 200 word post then a four three and a half page ramble.
-No godmodding, powerplaying or anything fo the sort. Your character can't read minds, dodge every blow in a fight, decde what the other character does, or even be incapable of doing anything at all. Be realistic. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.
-Read over the posts before. Make sure that the information your character is acting on has been vocalized and was not just someone else thinking.
-If two people are rping and you want to join them send them a pm or post in the cbox. Please just don't chime in. We're not saying to people to a post, just that if two people are having a conversation they might want to have it be them.
